Note :

How the results are declared
  • Number of qualified candidates: A total of 6% of the candidates who appeared for the JET will be declared qualified.
  • Slots for each category: These 6% slots will be distributed among different categories (like SC, ST, BC-I, BC-II, EWS, and PwBD) based on the Jharkhand government’s reservation policy.
Minimum qualifying marks
To be considered for eligibility for Assistant Professor and PhD admission, candidates must meet the following aggregate marks across both papers:
  • Unreserved/EWS categories: At least 40% aggregate marks.
  • Reserved categories: At least 35% aggregate marks (including SC, ST, BC-I, BC-II, and PwBD).

How the subject-wise cutoff is determined
  • The number of qualifying candidates in each subject and category is determined using a specific formula.
  • The formula compares the number of candidates who meet the minimum score in a particular subject and category against the total number of candidates who meet the minimum score across all subjects in that category.
  • The final cutoff score for each subject and category is the aggregate percentage of the last candidate to qualify.
